Classic eBooks

Just because a book has a bit of dust on it, doesn't mean that you shouldn't give it a chance.

Here you'll find public domain eBooks that I have republished on Amazon.

I've made my best effort to closely match the format of the original print book where possible. As I've spotted them, I've eliminated spelling errors and duplications that were present in the original. Footnotes have been moved to the end of each chapter and they're hyperlinked within the text.

John Ross and the Cherokee Indians by Rachel Caroline Eaton
Mrs. Eaton writes in the first chapter of her biography, "Few men of aboriginal American stock have figured more conspicuously in United States history or have been the subject of more diverse opinions than has John Ross, who, for nearly forty years, was chief of the Cherokee Indians."

Chief John Ross led his people through forty tumultuous years, that encompassed the Trail of Tears and the American Civil War, events that tried the Cherokee to their core. In this biography, Rachel Caroline Eaton provides an overview of his life. While a century has passed since its writing, Mrs. Eaton's analysis of Chief Ross and his motivations still stands well.

Originally published in 1914. Contains a small gallery of images of Chief John Ross and some of his contemporaries.
